Dennis Poised To Launch Latest Computing Title

Dennis Publishing has announced the launch of its latest computing title aimed at 35 to 55 year old ABC1 men using their PCs for practical or creative work such as photography or video editing.

The monthly title, entitled PC Projects, will have an initial print run of 50,000 and a cover price of £4.99. The first issue will hit news stands on Thursday 24 June with a double-sided DVD covermount containing the equivalent of 15 CD’s worth of content, and will be supported by point of sale marketing.

Commenting on the new title, Peter Wootton, publisher of PC Projects, said: “People want to get more from their home PCs, as the recent and significant growth in the PC ‘How To’ magazine market shows. PC Projects offers a fantastic package that is very well positioned to take advantage of this booming magazine market sector.”

Julian Prokaza editor of the new title added: “Over 60% of the UK population have a PC at home but few people are using them to their full potential. PC Projects will re-ignite the interest that jaded owners once had in their computer with its broad range of projects and advice. He added: “PC Projects has been designed to be as clear and understandable as possible, and the double-sided DVD contains both programs and files that tie in closely with the magazine’s contents”

The new title is Dennis Publishing’s second computing launch in the last 12 months following Custom PC, aimed at PC enthusiasts looking to upgrade their systems and develop their computer hardware, which launched last August (see Dennis Launches New Computer Title).
