Laser Sales has issued a combined London Weekend Television and Yorkshire -Tyne Tees Television ratecard, which will be effective from January 1st 1994. The move, which standardises the ratecards for the two areas, adds strength to LWT’s attempts to fend off the Granada bid.
Standard rates for LWT in 1994 will not increase, remaining at £25,000 for a thirty second spot in the 1900-2300 time-band.
For YTTV the ratecard has been simplified to match the LWT ratecard segments with a combined 30 second spot rate, 1900-2300, of £12,500. In the 1993 YYTV ratecard spot rates were shown separately for Yorkshire and Tyne Tees who had 30 second all week prime peak rates of £17500 and £8750 respectively.
