Celtic’s 1-0 Champion’s League victory over Manchester United lured an average of 5.6 million adult viewers to ITV1 last night, giving the channel a 26% audience share between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
Following on from the match at a slightly later time than usual, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here dropped more than two million viewers from Monday’s show (see I’m A Celebrity… Brings Back The Viewers). The programme was watched by an average of 6.1 million adult viewers, taking a 30% audience share at the time.
Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, which overlapped the end of the football and the first half of I’m A Celebrity…, was Channel 4’s most watched programme of the evening, with more than 3.5 million adults tuning in (16%).
Meanwhile, Five’s CSI double bill was once again the station’s most popular programming, with Miami taking an average of 2.5 million adult viewers (11%) and NY taking 1.7 million (10%).
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two at 6.30pm was BBC Two’s most watched programme with 2.3 million adult viewers, whilst Eastenders and Holby City were BBC One’s most popular shows, with 8.3 million and 6.1 million adult viewers respectively (a 41% and 28% audience share each).
