GCap Boosts Interactive Strategy With New Recruit

Paul Sigaloff GCap Media has created a new position to build and lead a commercial interactive and CRM team, to optimise new and existing revenue for the company.

Former Channel 4 deputy head of new media advertising, Paul Sigaloff, has been appointed to the role of head of interactive and CRM at GCap Media. Sigaloff will be in charge of developing and commercialising CRM and new media platforms such as online, mobile and podcasting

Over the past six years, Sigaloff has been responsible for commercialising and delivering content on emerging new media platforms, with particular focus on online, VOD and mobile.

GCap Media’s new recruit previously worked in radio as an agency planner at Opus, before joining Virgin.net where he spent 18 months as a senior sales executive. He has also worked at TSMS on the undergraduate scheme where he was promoted to airtime contracting sales executive.

He will report to GCap Media’s trading and business development director John McGeough, and will join GCap Media at the end of October

McGeough said: “Paul brings to us the skill set, contacts and experience that will help us move our new media offering up to a higher level. GCap are investing widely in our station sites, in audio streaming and in personnel. We are really excited that Paul has agreed to be a part of our future plans.”

Sigaloff added: “I am really looking forward to joining GCap at this time, working with John, the team and taking the interactive business forward. GCap’s revenues are predominantly generated through advertising and this model will be replicated on these new platforms. This, coupled with the strength of GCap’s brands, presents fantastic opportunities which need to be taken to market.”
