James Aitken, chairman and founder of IASH, is set to step down from his position in the New Year.
Aitken, who founded the internet advertising trade house in 2005, said he feels he has achieved his goals at IASH and wants to concentrate on his own business interests now.
He said: “I have accomplished my objectives of stabilising IASH, improving its reputation and taking IASH to the next level.”
Richard Sharp will takeover as interim chairman from December, until the IASH council officially vote on a new chairman in March next year.
Sharp is currently UK managing director of Value Click Media but has been heavily involved with IASH for the past two years, helping with the key development of the Code of Conduct.
IASH members voted unanimously for Sharp to step into the role as interim chairman – his brief will be to strengthen the Code, promote the advertising network model and build relationships with the IPA and the AOP.
Sharp said: “I aim to build on James’ legacy and make IASH one the most respected and trusted brands in digital media.”
IASH has today announced that 16 of its members have been recertified after passing its ‘random audits’ process, and six new companies have been accredited as full members in the past six months after passing the standard entry audit for the first time.
The body has 22 full members in total, with ten more companies currently in the process of seeking IASH certification.
