Warner Bros has appointed Channel 4’s Polly Cochrane to the newly created role of group marketing director for its UK division.
Cochrane will be responsible for marketing across Warner Brothers UK film, home video, TV, digital, games and consumer products, according to reports.
She will report directly to Warner Bros UK president and managing director, Josh Berger, and will sit on Warner Bros UK’s executive board.
Berger said: “Polly is one of the most respected marketers of her generation with a proven track record of innovation and creativity that’s second to none.
“I’ve no doubt she will inspire our talented UK marketing group to even greater heights, and be a superb addition to WBUK’s senior management team,” he added.
Cochrane, who has worked for Channel 4 since 1998, confirmed she was stepping down from her marketing head role with the broadcaster last month.
She started at Channel 4 as marketing controller and quickly made the move to marketing director.
Cochrane helped to successful launch the More4, E4, Film4 free-to-air, Channel 4+1 and 4oD brands, winning awards for some of the marketing campaigns.
Prior to Channel 4, Cochrane worked as head of advertising and promotions at Five.
