75% Of Searches Conducted On Google Sites

Google New data released by comScore reveals that three out of four searches are conducted on Google sites, making it the most popular search property in the UK.

The UK Internet seach activity report shows that in June, Google increased its massive lead to 75.3% of all search queries, followed by eBay with 5.5% and Yahoo! with 4.3%.

Other sites to feature in the top ten share of search in June 2008 include Microsoft sites, AOL, Facebook and BBC sites.

AOL’s acquisition of the UK social networking site, Bebo.com, expanded its share of search queries to 2.3% – pushing its rival Facebook to 2.2%.

The report also found that 31 million UK internet users conducted at least one search in June, while users conducted an average of 4.1 searches per day.

Overall, 3.9 billion searches were conducted in the UK during the month.
