Tuesday night’s TV saw BBC One come up trumps with its Holby City/New Tricks double-header from 8pm.
Hospital drama Holby City, on for an hour from 8pm had a peak of 5.7 million viewers (a 25.9% share of the audience) with an average of 5.6 million tuning in for its entire running time.
Following straight on was New Tricks, and the cop show about ageing detectives once again drew a big crowd, with a peak of 4.5 million tuning in (a 20.4% share).
Over on Channel 4 at 8pm was Gok’s Fashion Fix, in which everyone’s favourite style guru un-frumped a middle aged woman and picked high-street fashions to outclass the catwalk.
A peak of 2.2 million watched the show (a 9.9% share), with an average of 2 million sticking with it for its hour running time.
At 9pm, Five’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation did well, with its peak of 2.9 million beating ITV1’s 2.7 million for Holiday Showdown.
