A MORI-Financial Services survey commissioned by Classic FM assess the habits and attitudes of its listeners as buyers and users of financial products.

The section of the MFS survey sponsored by Classic FM questioned 2,000 adults about their savings, investments, current accounts and mortgages; the information revealed that Classic listeners have a higher than average interest in financial matters. They are 88% more likely to read the financial pages of a newspaper and 52% more likely to consult a financial advisor.

The Classic listener is 50% more likely to have savings between £10,000 to £20,000 and 86% more likely to have savings over £20,000. They are also 57% more likely to hold a building society TESSA account. They are more likely to hold a wider range of bank and building society accounts than the average Briton. Almost half the Classic FM audience has a mortgage, 18% above average.
