Channel 5 enjoyed another substantial year on year increase in network revenue – up 33.8% on September 2010.
The channel is still seeing a positive increase on last year’s dip during the period after Richard Desmond acquired it from RTL. The channel recorded a run of poor results last summer but Desmond has now made several changes to the business in a bid to drive revenue.
September also saw positive figures for ITV1, which posted a 5.0% year on year increase in network revenue. However, ITV Breakfast suffered a -13.5% drop during the month.
Channel 4, meanwhile, recorded a small upturn on last year – up 0.1%.
Overall, total terrestrial revenue was up 5.8%, while total satellite was up 0.4%.
