Agency estimates put the total terrestrial TV revenue for July at £160.320m. Of this, ITV brought in £116.25m (down 2.4% year on year), Channel 4 £36m (down 0.9%) and C5 £8.07m (down 16% on last month). GMTV’s June revenue fell 6.4% to £5.71m.
Drops in ITV/C4 impacts for July were relatively uniform, with all categories experiencing year on year falls of between 3% and 5.9%. Housewives/Children fell the most with a 5.9% drop to 4,518. The smallest impacts for C5 were, as for ITV/C4, among Housewives/Children at 346.
The highest CPT for ITV/C4 was for Housewives/Children at 4,084p compared with C5’s 2,826p. The lowest increase for ITV/C4 was among ABC1 Adults, which went up 1.3% year on year to 1,695p (compared to C5’s 1,508p). Viewing shares were down across the board for all terrestrial TV channels except C5 which was up 0.1% point on last month to 2.9%. It was Cable & Satellite which had the biggest increase, up 2% points year on year to 11.9%.
