Newspapers Daily Newspaper Market

Daily newspapers in Britain continued to drop in circulation last month, with an overall dip of 2.4% year on year for September, with declines for almost all titles across the sectors.

Titles in the Popular sector suffered the largest actual fall in circulation, with the Daily Mirror shedding more than 100,000 copies and the Sun losing more than 80,000.

Only two newspapers bumped up their circulation, however marginally, with the Independent adding 1% to its total, and the Daily Mail boosting its distribution by 1.6% year on year.
