Aerodeon To Launch SMS Campaign For Bacardi Breezer

Mobile marketing company, Aerodeon, has secured a deal to launch the first ever SMS campaign for Bacardi Breezer.
The campaign, which launches this month, aims to increase sales of Bacardi Breezer by offering consumers the opportunity to win a celebrity lifestyle, with a five star holiday to Las Vegas as well as 24 hours of celebrity-styled living in London.
To win, consumers have to text a unique code found on bottles of Bacardi Breezer to receive an instant win or lose confirmation reply.
Scott Lenik, managing director of marketing communications agency Attention, commented: “We know that Bacardi Breezer consumers are receptive to SMS marketing, but we wanted to give them the opportunity to win truly unique and exciting prizes that reflect the brand values of Breezer. With SMS we’re able to instantly reinforce the dynamic spirit of the brand.”
Chris Bourke, managing partner at Aerodeon, added: “We’re delighted that we’ve been chosen to support Bacardi Breezer in its first venture into mobile marketing. We’re committed to bringing our experience of large scale FMCG projects to bear on this campaign to ensure its success.”
The increasing popularity of SMS messages was highlighted earlier this week by the latest wave of data from the Mobile Data Association, which showed that almost 17 billion person to person text messages sent across the four UK GSM networks in 2002 (see Text Messaging Hits A New High In 2002).
