Bauer Audio UK is launching its digital audio advertising platform AudioXi in the UK.

AudioXi will leverage Bauer’s first-party data across its portfolio of 50 audio and publishing brands to target audiences across a range of audio content.

It aims to offer AI-powered ways to build effective, addressable campaigns accessing consumer data to advertisers.

In February, Bauer sold its stake in digital advertising marketplace Octave to News UK, its joint venture partner of five years.

AudioXi already operates in eight markets: Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden. The company now seeks to align its UK operation with the European model.

Advertisers will continue to purchase digital audio advertising through Octave for campaigns running until the end of June.

Simon Kilby (pictured), managing director at Bauer Media Advertising, said: “Launching AudioXi in the UK has been our long-term strategic plan, giving us increased agility and control to shape our next steps in the digital audio landscape, while strengthening our offering across Europe.

“We’re genuinely thrilled to integrate our broadcast and digital audio solutions and the response from advertisers has already been incredibly positive. As Bauer Media celebrates its 150th birthday this year, the business continues to evolve, building on its trusted foundations with ambitious investment in the future.”

Bauer brands include Absolute Radio and Kiss in audio, and Grazia and Empire in publishing.
