A spokesman from BSkyB today told MediaTel that no re-negotiations have been discussed regarding the £87.5 million England rugby contract Rugby Challenges BSkyB Deal. According to recent rumours in the press, BSkyB were prepared to tear up the initial contract and replace it with another worth £183.5 million. The intended deal would have been shared equally amongst the participants of Rugby Union’s Five Nations Championship.
The spokesman said nothing had been discussed and any reports on a new contract is just speculation.
