Cabal’s Crime Launch Uncertain As Editor Departs
Keith Wilson, the editor-to-be of the unlaunched Crime Weekly magazine has been made redundant by Cabal Communications. The consumer publisher suspended the launch of the magazine earlier this year, at the same time that IPC annnounced that it was publishing a crime one-off title called called Chat, Crime and Passion (see Newsline). The future of Cabal’s crime title now hangs in the balance.
Cabal Communications has also suffered other senior staff departures recently. One of its editorial directors, Amanda Edwards, has left the company to go freelance and business director James Beechinor-Collins has also left the group.
A number of employees, including Keith Wilson, came over from IPC to join Cabal Communications when it was formed by Sally O’Sullivan last year (see Newsline).
