Captive View Expands Ad Network
![]()
Captive View is expanding its washroom advertising network with the launch of 200 flat panel video screens in bars and clubs in London.
The company plans to install 50 Viewloo screens during December to deal with the predicted pre-Christmass advertising boom followed by a further 150 early next year allowing brands to target over 500,000 ABC1 18-30 year olds each month.
The screens, which carry digital video, web data and interactive promotional messages, can be controlled via remote control enabling brands to target captive audiences with “highly relevant” advertising content.
Captive View’s managing director, Ronnie Rees, said: “With the integrated sensors within the Viewloos, we are able to give very accurate feedback to advertisers and we aim to prove month on month that we will continue to offer value for money to our advertising partners.”
He added: “This move is part of our strategy to develop a major advertising centre in London, which in turn will form the foundation for our nation-wide expansion. Once we have achieved coverage in the capital, we will look to replicate the network region by region.”
Washroom advertising has been increasing steadily over the last year and with companies including Hi Tech Solutions, CPA and Admedia expanding their portfolio of opportunities the total number of UK washroom sites is now nearing 55,000 (see Feature: Washroom Advertising).
