Celebrity Big Brother dropped more than one-and-a-half million viewers on its second night, with footage of the celebrities’ first night in the house netting an average audience of around 4.6 million adults.
Channel 4 took a 20.7% viewing share in the timeslot, whilst Just The Two Of Us on BBC One took an 18.5% share and drew an audience of almost 4.2 million adults on average. The show’s results programme, on after the News, managed to gain almost 3.9 million viewers, a 23.7% audience share.
Parkinson’s All-Time Greatest Entertainers on ITV1, which was up against CBB and BBC One’s singing contest, was seen by around 3.3 million adults, giving the channel a 15% viewing share at the time, whilst Five’s Build A New Life In The Country lured more than 1.6 million adults, a 7.4% share.
More than 9.2 million adults (44%) tuned in to Eastenders to see Sonia Fowler’s guilt over her mother-in-law’s death reach breaking point. Holby City, which followed on from the drama of Albert Square, was watched by 5.9 million adults (26.3%) whilst The Bill on ITV1 was seen by 4.2 million, an 18.8% share.
