Chrysalis Sees Profits Treble In Last Six Months

Commercial radio company Chrysalis today announced it is on track to deliver strong earnings growth over the next few years as operating profit for the last six months trebled to £3.7 million.

Radio revenues for the period ending 29 February were up by 23% to £33.3 million, growth continued in March and April when revenues increased by a further 20%, the company said in a statement this morning.

Chief executive, Richard Huntingford, explained: “This is another strong set of results for shareholders. We continue to deliver on the Chrysalis outperformance mantra with very strong showings from our radio and music divisions compared to their industry peers.”

The company also revealed that group turnover has increased to £84.6 million, up from £84.2 million on the same period last year.

Chairman, Chris Wright, added: “These results show that we are on track to deliver strong earnings growth over the coming years as we reap the benefits of the leading market positions and competitive advantages that we have established in our key business areas.”
