Cinema Admissions Up 21% In December

UK cinema admissions rose by 21.2% year on year for December 1999 according to the latest figures released by Carlton Screen Advertising. Total admissions across the month came to 10.7 million, mainly from two films which topped the charts the previous month as well – The World Is Not Enough and The Sixth Sense.

Average weekly admissions for the month were 2.4 million, 17.4% higher than December 1998.
