Taxi Media, a division of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, has launched a new London Audience Solutions offering that it claims will dramatically change how taxi advertising targets specific audiences.
Taxi Media has identified where individual drivers spend the majority of their time through comprehensive driver surveys, the results of which are further enhanced by GPS tracking data. Labels such as Travel and Tourism, Business and Finance and Airports have then been applied to the taxis, complementing the Audience Solutions packages already offered by Clear Channel for other Outdoor formats.
The varying Audience Solutions packs claim to provide flexibility of planning for agencies and specialists, increased value for clients and facilitate cross-format campaigns that target consumers in varying places and at different times.
“While we’re already confident in Taxi Media’s ability to broadcast a brand’s message, the new Audience Solutions offering further enhances the effectiveness of our product and reflects our commitment to putting the consumer at the heart of Outdoor planning,” said Andre Coetzee, general manager of Taxi Media.
Taxi Media has a fleet of 12,000 taxis nationwide. According to TGI, 10.4 million people see a taxi ad every week while 61% of people who notice taxi ads are ABC1.
