Core Secures First Audio And Data Radio Ad Campaign

The world’s first audio and data campaign has been secured on the new national digital radio station, Core. Warner Brothers Home Video and Opus, the GWR group sales division, have teamed up for the venture.

Promoting the video release of The Matrix, the campaign will run specially created audio copy and simultaneous text which will scroll down a customised vertical banner. The text will also be replicated on the Core website (www.core.musicradio.com).

Steve Cray of Opus Digital said: “This is the first time that any advertiser has ever used audio and data on digital radio. It means that Warner can run teaser, release data and purchase price text. The options are endless.”

Core was launched last Monday as the first national digital radio stations went live on the Digital One multiplex (see Digital Radio Launches In The UK). The first two brands to advertise on the new platform, which also broadcasts via Sky Digital, were Mars Flyte and Jack Daniels.
