Cunning Stunts Gets Cheeky With FHM Ad Campaign

Cunning Stunts has devised a novel way to cut through the increasing amount of advertising clutter and has launched Backsides, a campaign to promote FHM‘s High Street Honey 2003 competition.

The creative agency has invited models in coastal resorts around the country to wear a temporary tattoo on their bottoms to raise awareness of the competition, which offers the winner the chance to win £10,000 and become an FHM covergirl.

Those brave enough to take part will wear nothing but g-string style beachwear to reveal the tattoo, which will read “FHM Approved – High Street Honey’s 2003″ in an attempt to turn the models into walking ads for the brand.

Commenting on the initiative, Shelley Wilson, marketing manager for FHM, said: “Backsides is a brilliant way to cut through the clutter of conventional communication – it is the perfect medium for FHM High Street Honeys, which is a celebration of the best-looking undiscovered women in the UK.”

He added: “The idea behind Backsides was to take advantage of the incredible summer weather the UK has finally been promised this year. At the same time we hoped to give young people a chance to have some fun and earn some money this summer.”

Earlier this year Cunning Stunts, which is renowned for projecting an image of Gail Porter onto the Houses of Parliament, launched an initiative that used students foreheads as advertising space (see Students To Become Human Billboards).
