Dennis publishing is set to launch a new online motoring magazine, iMotor, on July 17.
iMotor will be emailed to readers free of charge every two weeks and will include TV content, photographs, articles, reviews and test drive videos.
Dennis described its new digital magazine as: “TV-style entertainment, web-style topicality and magazine-style authority and depth.”
The publishing company, which already has 19 titles including men’s magazines Maxim and Viz, wants to target ABC1 men aged 30 and over.
iMotor will be marketed to a database of more than 1.5 million males readers and will add to Dennis’ print motoring magazines Auto Express and Evo.
Mat Watson, the news and features editor of Auto Express and new editor of iMotor, said: “We’re thrilled to be announcing this new launch, as it gives us the opportunity to take a hugely popular subject and give it a brand new platform.”
The new digital magazine will join Dennis’ successful Monkey e-zine, which posted an ABCe figure of almost 272,000, up by more than 29.5% year on year in January this year (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2007:Shortlist Falls Just Short Of Circulation Target).
Dennis also launched online gadget magazine Gizmo in March this year (see Dennis Launches Second Digital Only Magazine) and recently signed a one year deal with online poker operator PKR to produce a quarterly PKR print magazine (see Dennis Signs Customer Magazine Deal With Poker Website).
