Disney Channel Launches New Interactive Promotion

The Disney Channel is launching an interactive media campaign to promote its Kim Possible cartoon across both print and broadcast platforms.

The campaign will see special decoder gamecards inserted into a variety of children’s magazines between the 24 October and 4 November. When the cards are held against television screens during the Kim Possible show, a special printing process will make a character name visible on winning cards.

Viewers will be prompted to hold their cards to the screen at key times during the programme, which is shown on weekdays at 4.30pm. Each day a different Kim Possible character will be featured and winning viewers will receive a pen, walkie talkies and a pocket torch.

Earlier this month, rival cartoon network Fox Kids Fox promoted its new cartoon, Shin Chan, with a free A5 comic in The Sun and a TV advertising campaign (see Fox Kids Teams Up With The Sun For Cartoon Promotion).
