DoubleClick Unveils New Rich Media Product

DoubleClick has launched a new service to allow online advertisers create and monitor rich media ads.

The new DART Motif service, created with Macromedia, will enable internet publishers and marketers to simplify their rich media advertising.

Over thirty clients including MTV and OMD Digital have already signed up to use the new technology, which promises increased efficiency, fewer errors and improved campaign performance through a centralised reporting system.

Commenting on the launch, Doug Knopper, vice president of online advertising at DoubleClick, said: “DART Motif addresses the fundamental challenges of rich media execution. With DART Motif it is easier to create, deploy and report on almost all types of rich media, reducing the association time and cost of getting these highly responsive ads across multiple sites.”

Brian Monahan, interactive media director at Universal McCann, added: “One of the largest barriers to the growth of online advertising has always been the complexity. DoubleClick provides efficient innovative marketing solutions and we expect the Motif product to be another example of a tool that will allow us to simplify the online advertising process.”

DoubleClick recently partnered with AOL to launch a major research project into consumer attitudes to spam, as part of a series of initiatives to tackle the growing problem of junk email (see DoubleClick Teams With AOL For Spam Crackdown).
