Emap Advertising To Boost Sales Creativity
![]()
Emap Advertising is attempting to inject more creativity into its sales offering with the launch of an new initiative called Emap Create.
The division has been created in response to the increasing demand from agencies and clients for strategic solutions that go beyond conventional campaigns. It will bring together creative resources from across Emap’s entire range of media.
Emap Create will be led by Emap’s marketing director, Sue Todd; commercial programmer, Adam Bullock; and commercial editor, James Hayr.
The initiative will receive substantial investment over the next nine months and all of Emap’s sales team will enter on a nine month training programme to raise their creative confidence. Each of the company’s 240 staff will also be enrolled in an ongoing creative workshop.
Todd said: “Agencies and clients are looking more than ever to media owners for creative solutions and we are increasingly asked to bring our consumer and market insight, concept origination, and production capabilities to bear.”
She added: “Emap Create will ensure that we can meet customers’ increasing demands for this service and guarantee that whoever you contact in Emap Advertising you can be certain of even better creative ideas.”
The pressure on multi-platform media owners to offer clients more creative advertising solutions is increasing and Scottish Media Group recently launched a cross-media sales shop to provide clients with tailored solutions across its television, radio, cinema outdoor and online properties (see SMG Launches New Cross Media Sales Division).
