Emap And Citroen Gear Up For Cross Media Promotion
Emap Advertising, Citroen and OMD have announced an exclusive cross-media advertising partnership to promote Citroen’s new urban sports car, the C2.
The six-figure deal is the car manufacturer’s first cross-media promotion with Emap and includes a range of brands such as Kiss 100, Max Power and FHM to raise awareness of the C2 as a sophisticated city sports car.
The campaign will use bespoke advertorials in key Emap magazines to focus attention on the launch of the car and to offer exclusive tickets to specially created C2 Club Nights, which feature live, music DJs and a range of entertainment.
The magazine advertorials will also promote the forthcoming C2 Urban Tour, which comprises liveried C2 cars travelling in a convoy through the cities of London, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds offering people the chance to win tickets to the C2 Club Nights.
All C2 Urban Tour activity will be promoted on the Big City stations, which include Kiss 100, Key 103, Radio Aire and Radio City. On-air announcements will allow listeners to check the location of the C2 convoy as it tours the country.
Commenting on the initiative, Emap’s cross media manager, Rhiannon Thomas, said: “This campaign has been a triumph for all concerned, matching the specific aims and objectives of Citroenšs C2 with Emapšs unique ability to reach out and communicate with the dynamic super-youth consumer.”
Earlier this year Emap secured a multi-platform advertising deal with Clear Channel Entertainment to promote Shania Twain’s forthcoming UK tour across its range of Magic branded media (see Magic Secures Multi-Platform Deal With Clear Channel).
