Enpocket Secures Fox For SMS Promotional Campaign

Mobile marketing group, Enpocket, is to launch a SMS promotional campaign to promote Fox’s new thriller Phone Booth.
The promotion will use the Fox text club database, which will invite members to see the film at special preview screenings. They will also distribute 30,000 matchbooks across UK universities inviting consumers to enter a text draw for prizes including mobile handsets and T-shirts.
The mobile marketing campaign ties up with the films narrative which follows a slick New York media consultant (Colin Farrell) who answers a ringing public phone only to find he is trapped by a serial killer with a sniper rifle who says he’ll be shot dead if he hangs up.
Clare MacIntosh, Fox’s marketing manager, commented: “Phone Booth has a compelling plot well suited to promotion through mobile marketing. The intrigue created by this work through Enpocket will certainly help pull people to the movie.”
Jonathon Linner, chief executive officer of Enpocket, added: “This activity for Phone Booth is a great example of how mobile marketing can reach out on a personal level to attract and involve people in the subject matter of a new release.”
Earlier this month, Enpocket launched a major SMS ad campaign to promote Vittel natural mineral water ahead of the London Marathon (see Enpocket Secures Vittel For Marathon SMS Campaign).
