Espotting To Power Online Searches Across ITV Network

Pay-per-click advertising company, Espotting, has secured a deal with ITV to power searches across the broadcaster’s network of websites.

The deal, which begins in December, will see Espotting replace Overture as paid listings provider across a range of sites including those for Pop Idol, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The company will also provide fully branded search options, contextual advertising and relevant listings alongside editorial features, such as rugby-related listings on reports about the current Rugby World Cup.

Commenting on the deal, Daniel Ishag, chief executive and founder of Espotting Media, said: “The depth of our deal with ITV highlights how Espotting works with affiliate partners to monetise different sections of their site, whilst providing highly relevant content.”

Colin Ramsay, head of online sales at ITV/Granada Media, added: “We are very proud and protective of the ITV brand and therefore partner with companies who are second to none in their fields. The Espotting deal will take ITV to the next level of integrating both search and content monetisation solutions in accordance to the look and feel of the ITV brand.”

Earlier this year Espotting was acquired by US marketing group FindWhat.com for £97 million. The agreement saw the company’s stockholders receive approximately 8.1 million shares of FindWhat.com common stock and around £16 million in cash (see Espotting Merges With US Firm In £97 Million Deal).
