The London Evening Standard has signed a deal with the New York Daily News to share editorial content.
The Standard, which is 75% owned by Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev, already has a relationship with Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta, in which Lebedev has a 39% stake.
The title relaunched in May (see Evening Standard relaunches today with promises of better behaviour) following its acquisition by Lebedev, who bought a majority share in the paper from Associated Newspapers in January this year (see Lebedev buys Evening Standard).
The paper said that the deal is a “formal relationship” but did not provide any further details.
According to the latest ABC figures, the Standard has a total circulation of around 211,000 (see Evening Standard’s circulation down almost 30% YoY).
