Excite Rolls Out Cross-Media Ad Campaign
UK internet portal, Excite.co.uk, is extending its TV branding campaign to include radio, print, outdoor and online all built around the TV strapline, “If they can, why can’t you?”
The radio promo began on Virgin Radio’s drive-time show last weekend and offers listeners the chance to live like an astronaut, footballer, supermodel or racing driver for one day. The concept for the competition was developed by marketing consultancy Branded. The radio promotion will be followed by posters on the London Underground and ads in the trade and consumer press. The outdoor ads were created by Clinic.
Online, the campaign will promote Excite’s new customisation features. The internet campaign has been developed by Razorfish and will go live in May. Excite.co.uk is a joint venture between BT and Excite UK Ltd..
