Flytxt Launches How To Lose A Guy SMS Campaign

Flytxt is launching a mobile marketing campaign to support the release of paramount pictures new romantic comedy, How To Loose A Guy In Ten Days.

The campaign, which launches later this month, will target female cinema goers, by encouraging them to text a number displayed in the posters advertising the new release. Consumers will then be invited to complete a number of challenges in order to ascertain “if their guy really loves them.”

Participants will receive daily texts on each of the 10 days leading up to the movie’s official release date. Consumers who complete all 10 challenges, will then automatically be entered into a draw, where a winner will be randomly picked to fly to Milan for a makeover.

Text campaigns are becoming an increasingly popular method of promoting new cinema releases and earlier this month Fox appointed mobile marketing group, Enpocket, to launch a SMS promotional campaign to promote its new thriller Phone Booth (see Enpocket Secures Fox For SMS Promotional Campaign).

According to recent research from Enpocket, around 15% of consumers respond to SMS text messaging marketing, with this figure rising to around 46% of recipients for the best-performing campaigns (see SMS Is Most Effective Direct Marketing Method).
