Galaxy Network Launches Multi-Media Ad Campaign

Chrysalis’ Galaxy Network is launching its first ever multi-media advertising campaign, worth in the region of £250,000 and utilising the specialist music press, new media and below the line activity. It follows the launch of the network’s first TV advert, currently running on MTV UK, MTV Base and MTV Extra.

Nick Button, Galaxy Network’s brand director commented, “There has been a positive response to the launch of last week’s TV advert. This new activity is an extension of the campaign into other media.”

The campaign is pushing the fact that big name DJs will play on the network on weekends across the summer. Full page advertising with the slogan “The Best Weekend Out Is In” will be placed in dance magazines Ministry and Muzik. The new media aspect of the campaign will include a viral campaign, SMS messaging round forthcoming programme highlights and sponsorship of the e-newsletter sent to subscribers to dance music website www.clubber.co.uk. On the ground, flyers will be distributed by teams around the five stations in the Galaxy network with creative based on the national campaign, but tailored to local audiences.
