UK gay men and lesbians are to get their own TV channel from next year, according to trade press reports. The station will be the first national general entertainment and lifestyle homosexual TV channel.
Rainbow Television Network will aim to attract a broad audience of gay, lesbian and heterosexuals. It will offer entertainment and lifestyle programmaing, but with no porn. Rainbow Television Network is keen to tap into the lucrative gay economy. Details for the station are still sketchy but it is expected to be carried on cable.
