Grampian TV Profits Hit £5.78m

Grampian Television today announced that its profits before tax have risen by 31.3% to £5.78m (1995 – £4.40m) on turnover of £24.82m (1995 – £21.30m). After tax and other interests, profits for the year were £3.79m (1995 – £3.17m).
These results represent the eighth successive annual profit increase. Part of the reason for such growth is an 8.5% increase in advertising revenue, against an ITV average of 4.3%. Scot FM, a subsidiary of Grampian, also contributed to these results: the most recent RAJAR showed a 45% increase in listening figures with a weekly reach of 393,000 adults and the average listener tuning in for 8.1 hours each week.
