Guardian Launches Film Unlimited Ad Campaign

Guardian Unlimited is launching a major campaign at the end of next week to promote its film website FilmUnlimited.co.uk. The campaign coincides with the opening of the new Star Wars movie in America and gives Film Unlimited users the chance to win a trip for two to New York to see the film before it opens in the UK.

The campaign will consist of banner and press advertising, and posters in internet cafés around the country. Banner ads will also be running on internet search engines and specialist film websites, and the creative for the banners features classic lines from cult movies, including Robert de Niro in Taxi Driver and Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry.

Film Unlimited editor Brian Logan said: “The launch of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace is one of the most hyped movie openings of all time. Film Unlimited is the first place to go for film news and information, and we’re delighted to offer visitors the first chance to see this film.”

The website features an exclusive database of every cinema in the UK and every film on release, and film enthusiasts can also gain access to a wealth of reviews, interviews and features.
