Guardian Unlimited is officially the most popular UK newspaper on the net, according to the latest audited figures. During March the online paper saw its monthly page impressions increase by almost 5 million to 30.2m and unique users registered 2.4m during the month.
Guardian Unlimited announced its intention to publish official monthly figures in January, the first media owner to make such a move (see Guardian Unlimited Revamps Image To Celebrate Second Birthday). Its main rivals are FT.com, which registered 39m page impressions and 1.7m users during March 2001, Electronic Telegraph whose latest audited figure was 23m page impressions and The Times Online which registered 18m page impressions during February 2001.
