GWR has announced that it now has control of 62.2% of Chiltern Radio; this means it has had valid acceptances from 4,034,119 Chiltern shares. The major shareholders in Chiltern, Capital Radio, DMGT and EMA had already accepted the GWR offer. Before the takeover offer GWR held 2.25% of GWR; the level of acceptances as of yesterday take the total GWR level of control to 64.45%.
The offer has been extended until 3pm on 27th July 1995.
