Digital TV and broadband provider, HomeChoice, has announced its involvement in the high-profile Live8 concert tomorrow, providing internet connections to the event to ensure vital access can be achieved at all times.
The company, which offers Britain’s only large-scale on-demand TV product, available to 2.4 million homes across London and Stevenage, will donate a 4Mb high speed connection to the charity concert free of charge, ensuring that the event’s data connections run smoothly.
Following its successful involvement at the O2 Wireless Music Festival, which also took place at Hyde Park, HomeChoice will use its expertise in broadband provision to deliver state of the art internet access to tomorrow’s historic concert.
Explaining the importance of HomeChoice’s involvement, Roger Lynch, chairman and CEO of parent company Video Networks said: “Video Networks is thrilled to be involved with Live8. The event is going to effect people’s lives all around the globe and we are honoured to be part of such a key event in history.”
HomeChoice recently cemented its association with music content, launching a dedicated R.E.M. video on demand music channel to coincide with the band’s UK tour. The channel consists of four different areas; R.E.M. videography, R.E.M. A-Z, R.E.M. true tones and competitions. R.E.M. are among the 26 acts performing at tomorrow’s concert, promising to deliver an impressive set in aid of charity (see Video Networks Starts New R.E.M Channel).
