MTVi now offers a new sponsorship and advertising opportunity in the form of an interactive video newsletter. This is emailed once a week to mtv.co.uk subscribers and includes streamed video clips of interviews and performances using new Streamwave technology, which opens clips within the newsletter without the need for plug-ins.
MSN is seeking to cash in on the anticipated success of the Bridget Jones movie. The long-awaited film adaptation of Helen Fielding’s adventures of a 90s “singleton” is due for release on 13 April and will see MSN’s Hotmail service featured in the film as an aid to the heroine’s office romance. As part of the deal, MSN is hosting the official “Bridget Jones’ Diary” site (www.bridgetjonesdiary.msn.co.uk), with a trailer, film-related content, links to the MSN Bridget community and a competition to win tickets to the New York premiere.
Women’s portal iVillage.co.uk, co-owned by supermarket Tesco and iVillage US, has released its first traffic figures, of 343,595 unique visitors between January 31 and March 1. This figure is more than double the original target.

Appearing sooner from Emap Digital was the website for motorcycling magazine MCN. Motorcyclingnews.com went live on Tuesday offering event information, chat rooms, newswires and e-commerce facilities.
