IPC Pushes Mags With TV Promotions
IPC Magazines has put together television advertising campaigns for two of its titles, What’s On TV and Now. What’s On TV, which comes from the group’s Tx stable, is to be promoted with a £2 million fully-integrated campaign taking television, press and point of sale advertising.
The ads, created by Delaney Lund Knox Warren and booked by Walker Media, will break on 10 January with 30 second and 10 second spots on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and selected satellite channels. The ads highlight the magazine’s coverage of the biggest stories from top soaps and shows and feature the strapline: “Britain’s best-selling magazine – no wonder everyone is reading it.” Marketing director Philippa Brown says: “What’s On TV is already Britain’s best-selling magazine with copy sales of over 1.7 million and through this marketing activity we intend to strengthen our position within the market even further.”
Separately, IPC is also promoting a new 16-page supplement in its celebrity style and gossip magazine, Now. IPC Connect is investing £1 million in the campaign for the new look Now which is to include issue-specific television ads showing in the four weeks after 27 January, when the 2 February is available. The promotion is also to include poster and press coverage.
Sandy Gale, publishing director for Now, says: “This significant investment is part of our continued strategy to build on the strength of the brand, having already invested in a dedicated ad sales team.”
