IPC Shares Its Market Findings
IPC Magazines has completed its first lifestyle questionnaire exercise, producing detailed and accurate information on its readers and their views on media consumption and related matters.
The research was carried out by a mass mailing of over 750,000 questionnaires, and will be made available to external companies wishing to obtain detailed lifestyle information as well as being utilised by IPC’s own internal marketing initiatives.
This is the first time that database results have been offered to external companies. Business enterprises director Julia Porter commented: “The survey represents a massive opportunity to build on our understanding of IPC readers in terms of their needs, leisure activities and lifestyle, in order that we can develop closer relations with them. The results will equally be of great use to other companies wanting to gain a better insight into these people’s lives, habits, attitude and aspirations.”
IPC has also appointed a new editor of its women’s weekly Eva in the form of Mary Frances. The post will be effective from today and Frances replaces Terry Tavner who has moved on to work on Women’s Own (see Newsline).
