TV Northern Ireland, one of the failed bidders in the 1991 TV Auction, is demanding that the ITC admits it made a mistake in awarding a licence to Ulster Television. TV Northern Ireland accuses the ITC of making a political decision to award the licence to Ulster, rather than because TVNI’s revenue forecasts were too optimistic. Ulster’s first yearly results show revenue considerably higher than that forecast by TVNI.
