EBN, Europe’s money and lifestyle channel, is to begin broadcasting ITN’s “World News” in prime time from September 9th.
The contract effectively means that the news show will move from NBC Superchannel to EBN. The deal includes a new half hour review from ITN called “World Focus”, which will be broadcast on EBN on Saturdays and Sundays.
EBN will transmit the half-hour daily news programme to over 40 countries on the EBN network. It will be available in over 12 million homes and hotels throughout Europe as well as North Africa, the Middle East and South Africa. “World News” will be produced by ITN in London.
