It’s not too late to join NABS at the ATHX Games

Are you up for a fitness challenge, or simply wish to support the industry organisation that promotes mental health and wellbeing? Vevo’s James Cornish has the details.
Late last year, The MediaLeader helped us launch and raise awareness of the NABS x ATHX Games charity fundraiser event we’re running over the last weekend in January.
Our aim is simple;
* Promote awareness and encourage participation in physical activity and its undeniable connection with our mental well-being.
* Raise funds for NABS. The industry organisation that supports the mental health and wellbeing of all of us within media and advertising
NABS x ATHX will take place during the ATHX Games’ headline event of the year at Excel in London’s docklands. This opportunity gives nearly 100 people the chance to participate and collectively contribute to our fundraising efforts. 100% of funds raised will go directly to NABS.
We’ve made an exciting start to the initiative, and you can still get involved
Part one of the challenge is a 24-hour, non-stop, never-before-done version of the ATHX games format.
We’ve assembled a team of 12 who will work in pairs for the 24-hour period. That team is in place and includes friends, colleagues and peers from across our industry who will be joining me in getting it done;
Adam Stammers: Starcom
Alex Warsop: The Tradedesk
Donna Stock: Audience Store
Gaby Cornish: Starcom
Hannah Oneill: SeenThis
Joel Wilkinson: Netflix
Kitty Gould: Spotify
Mandy Crofts: Tesco Media
Patrick Morrell: Netflix
Robin Oneil: WPP Media
Stuart Flint: DoubleVerify
A big thank you to these guys, it’s amazing to have such broad representation across the industry. Our 12-week training programme has been a mix of individual training plans and team sessions.
We’re currently raising sponsorship and are delighted to have already reached +£15k! However, we need all the help we can get and would be grateful for any donations you can make as a business or individually.
We know firsthand what a difference it will make; https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/nabs-athx
Part two is an entire heat reserved solely for our industry participants to take on the ATHX games workout.
True to its core value of inclusivity, ATHX Games offers different levels of participation, from those new to keeping fit and finding their feet to those who prefer a more competitive experience.
Important note: You choose the level that works for you. Details can be found here – https://athxgames.com/workouts/2026
We have up to 40 spots available for teams of two. You pay your entry fee (c£90 per person), which is donated in full to NABS.
The heat is at 8.30 am on Sunday, 1 February – day two of the event.
Fortuitously, you will finish around 11 am, an hour before the 24hr team complete their effort. And yes, there may be a little toast to celebrate our collective efforts at noon that day! Or perhaps a little nap.
The call to action
Some spots are already taken, but we know together as an industry, we can fill every spot. If the thought of taking part piques your interest, please grab a friend, colleague, or partner, sign up, and get involved.
You’ll be giving yourself a brilliant reason and motivation to get moving and active, you’ll benefit from the connection between physical activity and your mental well-being, you’ll actively be promoting that message, and crucially, you’ll contribute to raising funds to put back into the industry body that supports us all when we need it.
It’s a win, win, win.
