ITV will have a new afternoon look in 1997. The new show, Afternoon Live (working title), will be shown three times a week in a bid to produce a more structured approach. The programme will be based around the popular discussion show Vanessa.
Marcus Plantin, ITV network director, said: “This ‘mini strip’ is the first step towards a more cohesive afternoon schedule for ITV. It will start initially as three days a week, and may progress to five days a week once it has bedded down.”
