ITV2 To Get New Look

ITV2 is to undergo a revamp with a new look logo and interstitials, according to a report.

The August 20 revamp will coincide with the start of the channel’s new autumn schedule, said Media Week.

A spokesman told the magazine that ITV2’s viewers most closely associated the lime green colour of the channel’s idents with the channel.

Other than films, ITV2’s top rating programmes are currently America’s Got Talent, Katie and Peter, and The Next Chapter.

ITV is also expected to make changes to its digital channels ITV3 and ITV4 next year (see ITV3 And ITV4 Set For Make-overs).

Rupert Howell, managing director of ITV brand and commercial, said there was “more potential” for the two digital channels as they are less defined than ITV1 and ITV2.
