JCDecaux Airport Unveils Summer Packages

JCDecaux Airport has launched incentivised airport poster packages in an effort to capitalise on the increase in the number of holidaymakers passing through airports in July and August.

The company predicts that up to 30 million passengers will travel through JCDecaux affiliated airports this summer and the poster packs are aimed at encouraging new advertisers into airports during this time.

The summer network packs, which consist of 123 advertising panels in airports in the UK, France, Spain and Portugal, are intended to allow brands to reach holidaymakers at both ends of their flights. The airports used include Heathrow and Gatwick in the UK, Nice and Marseille in France, Alicante and Valencia in Spain and Lisbon and Faro in Portugal.

Commenting on the initiative, JCDecaux Airport’s marketing director, Richard Malton, said: “These incentivised networks specifically target the British both leaving the UK and arriving abroad – and what better way to reach them than through airports.”

Earlier in the year JCDecaux Airport launched a measurement tool called RADAR, to enable advertisers to profile individual sites and campaigns around airports in order to determine the most effective sites to reach a given target audience (see Airport Planning Tool Launched By JCDecaux).
