Liverpool’s late 2-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa drew 3.7 million adult viewers to ITV1 between 8pm and 10.30pm.
The Champions League qualifying match took a 20% audience share for the broadcaster, with the game’s main competition coming from Channel 4 with the triple-bill of Property Ladder, Gordon Ramsay’s F Word and Big Brother. The programmes drew 3.1 million, 3.6 million and 4.2 million adult viewers respectively.
Big Brother overlapped with the end of the Champion’s League match and Love Island, which managed 1.6 million adult viewers, taking a 9.7% audience share compared to BB‘s almost 25% share, which was a larger share than the BBC One News.
Five’s film, The Fugitive was watched by 1.7 million people, managing a more than 10% audience share between 9pm and 11.30pm.
